About the Librarian

The Blackmetal Librarian, born in January of 1979, is a librarian by training and a headbanger at heart. Originally from the frozen northlands of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota (USA), the Librarian moved to Seattle, Washington in the summer of 2004 to attend graduate school at the University of Washington’s Information School (iSchool), where he took nifty classes on reference and instruction which naturally led him to work in the fields of metadata at a local organization that caters to librarians.

Although the Blackmetal Librarian still listens to a heckuva lot of metal, especially metal of blackest variety, he also enjoys other kinds of music and things that are not music-related such as bicycling, beer, and videogames. Ironically, he does not find the idea of a bicycling-themed video game with a blackmetal soundtrack to be very intriguing. Well, not too intriguing.

The Blackmetal Librarian knows not what this blog will be for, only that he wanted to try out WordPress.com. Isn’t that nice? Maybe the content found here will be a professional-style blog. Maybe it will be a music blog. Maybe it will be deleted. The possibilities are endless.

Cheers, and horns up! \m/
